    Geosynthetics and Industrial Fabrics Division
    Layfield Geosynthetics & Industrial Fabrics Ltd. is a vertically integrated, ISO 9002 certified company which manufactures, fabricates, designs and installs a diverse range of geosynthetics.  Our product line includes geomembranes, floating covers systems, baffle curtains, floating turbidity curtains, soil reinforcement, erosion and sediment control products.  The main thrust of the division is Geosynthetics Products - polymeric (plastic) products that are used in the earth.

    The Geosynthetics and Industrial Fabrics Division has one main geomembrane manufacturing plant and two fabrication facilities. At these facilities we manufacture Geomembrane roll goods, and then fabricate them to the desired size by welding. Our manufacturing facility is in Vancouver, BC, and our fabrication facilities are located in Edmonton, AB, Canada and El Cajon, California, USA.  Sales and distribution offices are located to best suit the needs of our customers; in Canada at Edmonton, AB, Calgary, AB, Vancouver, BC, and Toronto, ON; and in the USA at Renton, WA, and El Cajon (San Diego area), CA.  Layfield Environmental Systems Corporation is the head office for our US construction group. Our construction services include the installation and design support for floating covers systems, geomembranes, baffle curtains and floating turbidity curtains.

    The Geotechnical Fabrics part of the division carries a complete line of Geosynthetics. Our specialty is Geomembranes (liners) and Floating Cover Systems. We are one of the leading Geomembrane companies in North America. Each year we fabricate and install over 3 million square meters of lining materials throughout North America. The keys to this success are our unique products, and our custom fabrication techniques. We make liner panels from flexible materials to the sizes that our customers want, quickly and accurately. We also have some of the most sophisticated installation techniques in the industry. Layfield is unique in its ability to heat weld thin films (such as 20 mil, 0.5mm PVC) in both the shop and the field. In fact, Layfield has the ability to provide all Geomembrane material types; the right material for your unique application. This approach is unique as most Geomembrane companies are limited to proprietary materials, or are limited in their types of fabrication or installation equipment to one material type.

    The Layfield GIF division provides a number of distributed products that are uniquely chosen to meet your local needs. These distributed products include a complete line of Geotextiles, including woven, non-woven needle-punched, and the Typar line of spun-bonded materials. We also have available to all locations a line of Geo-grids and High Strength fabrics that are used in earth reinforcement applications.

    The Industrial Fabrics part of this division utilizes the Geotechnical fabrication facilities to manufacture stock and custom tarpaulins and enclosure products. In the Industrial Fabrics area we produce tarpaulins, enclosures, insulated blankets, greens covers, pile covers, curtains, bags, and fabric building skins. We also have available shade cloth, high temperature resistant fabrics, and many other fabrics and materials for industrial applications.
